Joe Turner
Joe Turner has over 20 years of hands-on experience in lithium-ion battery development, cell manufacturing, and materials scale-up. Transitioning from the semiconductor industry in 2002, he joined Valence Technology to refine early LFP cathode production before spending 11 years at K2 Energy, where he oversaw cell design, material evaluation, and the commissioning of their first commercial LFP manufacturing line.
He later served as Director of R&D at Coulometrics, managing high-throughput cell prototyping and testing programs across a wide range of chemistries and formats. Today, Joe serves as CTO at Grand Teton Energy Systems and Principal at Lithium Junction, advising the industry on cell design, process equipment, and advanced materials. (Episode S1E10)
